Meet Dr. Chandler Ames

Dr. Chandler Arms

Dr. Chandler Arms graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science in Health Science in 2017. She went on to earn her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2022. Following dental school, Dr. Arms completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at Spartanburg Community Dental Center, in affiliation with the Foundry Dental Center in Bessemer, AL. During her residency, she completed training in sedation dentistry and advanced surgical procedures, such as surgical placement of dental implants and bone grafts.

Dr. Arms holds a moderate sedation permit, allowing her to offer moderate intravenous sedation for dental procedures.  She is certified in botox and trigger point injections through the American Academy of Facial Esthetics (AAFE). Her training includes the use of injections for esthetics and therapeutic pain management of conditions such as headaches, migraines, and TMJ pain.

In addition to providing care at Great Oaks, Dr. Arms is a provider at Healthy Smiles of Spartanburg. This nonprofit organization offers free dental care to children, and Dr. Arms has been a dedicated volunteer since 2023. She is passionate about helping her patients achieve healthy, confident smiles in a comfortable and welcoming environment.

When she isn't caring for patients, Dr. Arms enjoys traveling, spending time with her dog, Ollie, and working on creative hobbies such as needlepoint, sewing, pottery, and photography.
