Meet Dr. William “Buck” Pennington

Dr. Buck Pennington
MA, DMD
Dr. Pennington joined Great Oaks in 2017. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Furman University with a degree in Spanish before earning a master’s degree in Hispanic Linguistics from the University of Georgia. He completed his predoctoral dental training at the University
of Alabama-Birmingham and then furthered his training in a general-dentistry residency at The Foundry in Bessemer, Alabama – a program that focuses on sedation, implant placement, and other surgical procedures.
Dr. Pennington currently serves on the board of Mission Dental, a non-profit organization that provides comprehensive dental care to uninsured patients across several clinics in the southeastern United States. He also serves as a faculty member at the Spartanburg Community
Dental Center, providing advanced training to dental residents.
Outside of the office, Dr. Pennington loves to make music, play golf (poorly), watch sports, cook, and climb mountains with his wife Janna, and two sons, William and Harry.
"It is a privilege to serve with the Great Oaks Dental team. I am grateful for and humbled by the way the staff treats both patients and each other with kindness, compassion, and respect. It is my great honor to continue this service in a leadership role, and I look forward to providing excellent care — for years to come."
